Crime
The head of the department is John Dewhurst our former Senior Partner and now a Consultant with the firm who is based at our Darwen office where we hold a legal aid contract to enable us to undertake this work. John has many years experience of this area of the law and is a member of the Blackburn and Darwen Duty Solicitor scheme.
In addition to providing Duty Solicitors for the Court and 24-hour Duty Solicitor Scheme the department is also available on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week to represent our own clients in case of need.
